This website, friendsofaustria.sk (“we”, “us”), is operated by MaxMarketing, s.r.o., Dunajská 58, 811 08 Bratislava, Slovakia, Company ID (IČO) 45 307 270, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Bratislava I, Section Sro, File No. 61973/B (“the Operator”). We are the controller of your personal data within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we process and why
Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter (“Become a Friend”), we process your e-mail address to send you occasional updates about Friends of Austria and our events (GUTEN TAG!, GUTEN ABEND). Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any e-mail or by writing to us; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. We keep your address until you unsubscribe.
Contact. If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the data you provide to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or steps prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for partner enquiries. We keep correspondence as long as needed for the enquiry and any follow-up.
Server logs. Our hosting provider processes technical data (IP address, browser, time of access) in server logs for security and operation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
This website currently does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Who we share data with
We use service providers (processors) who process data on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting
- Resend — e-mail delivery (newsletter)
These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; where they do, transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, write to adam@friendsofaustria.sk.
