Galerie Vaňkovka is more than a shopping centre: the former Wannieck machine factory (founded 1865) became a lively shopping and meeting gallery in 2005, right in the centre of Brno — between the main train station and the Zvonařka bus terminal. Like the Stará tržnica in Bratislava, a historic industrial landmark that's now full of life.
